Boat Detailing & Ceramic Coating in Sarasota
Gulf sun and salt are harder on a boat than on any car. We polish oxidation out of gel coat, detail top side and hull, and finish with ceramic protection.
Why Boats Go Chalky
Gel coat oxidizes. Months of UV and salt air turn a glossy hull into a dull, chalky surface that rubs off on your hand.
Washing doesn't fix oxidation, and wax on top of it doesn't last. The oxidized layer has to be machine polished off first. Once the gel coat is clean and glossy again, a ceramic coating gives it a slick, protective layer so salt spray, scum lines and bird droppings rinse off with less scrubbing.
That's the order we work in: assess, polish what needs polishing, then protect. Tell us how the boat is kept (slip, lift, trailer or dry storage) and we'll recommend where to start.

What We Do for Boats
Boat Ceramic Coating
A hard, slick protective layer on gel coat and painted surfaces so salt, grime and water spots rinse off easier.
Machine Polishing & Oxidation Removal
Cuts through the dull, chalky layer sun leaves on gel coat and brings back color and shine.
Gel Coat Polishing
Refines and brightens gel coat that's faded but not heavily oxidized.
Top Side Detailing
Decks, rails, consoles, cushions and hardware cleaned up top.
Hull Detailing
Hull sides cleaned and brought back, so the waterline and topsides look right at the dock.
Interior Ceramic Coating
Protection for interior surfaces so spills and grime wipe off easier.
We Come to Your Boat
You don't have to haul it anywhere. We come to where your boat is stored or staying: on a lift or trailer at your home, in a slip at a marina, or at a storage lot.
If it's at a marina or storage facility, check that they allow outside detailers before you book. Some have their own rules about vendors, access or work hours, and it's easier to sort that out ahead of time. Tell us where the boat is when you reach out, along with anything we need to know to get to it.
Boat Pricing Is Quoted
Every boat is different in length, layout and condition, so marine work is quoted per boat. Call or text 941-390-6388 with:
- Make, model and length
- Where it's kept: slip, lift, trailer or storage
- A few photos of the hull, top side and interior
- What you want: polish, coating, detail, or all three
After the Coating
Rinse with fresh water after every trip, wash with a pH-neutral soap, and skip harsh cleaners that wear down protection. A coated hull won't stop growth or staining on its own, but it makes regular cleaning much faster. We'll give you care instructions for your boat.

Boat Detailing Questions
How much does boat detailing or ceramic coating cost?
Marine work is quoted per boat. Call or text 941-390-6388 with the make, model, length and a few photos, and we'll give you a price.
Why is my boat's gel coat chalky?
That's oxidation. UV and salt break down the surface of the gel coat over time. Machine polishing and oxidation removal take off the damaged layer and bring back the color and gloss.
Should I ceramic coat my boat after polishing?
That's the best time. Coating freshly polished gel coat helps keep it glossy and makes salt and grime easier to rinse off, so you aren't back to chalky as quickly.
Do you detail boat interiors?
Yes. We do top side detailing, and interior ceramic coating to protect interior surfaces.
Do you come to my boat, or do I bring it to you?
We come to where your boat is stored or staying: your home, a marina or a storage lot. If it's at a marina or storage facility, check that they allow outside detailers first. Pricing is quoted per boat by call or text.
What should I send for a quote?
Make, model, length, where it's kept (slip, lift, trailer or storage), photos of the hull, top side and interior, and which services you're interested in.
