Paint Correction is one of the best things you can do for your car ensuring it looks good and retains value for a long time. You've worked hard to buy your dream car and the last thing you want to see is hazing, minor scratches, marring, swirl marks and other imperfections in your clear coat. Outlaw Detailing will remove those blemishes and make your car showroom ready.
One Step Process
The first thing to understand is what type of paint did your manufacturer use on your car. Some paint is harder while some paint is softer. The softer side will require more defects to be removed to restore that amazing shine. Generally, a single stage paint correction process will remove 60-70% of the defects in your cars paint.
Two Step Process
A two step process requires a cut stage and then a refining stage. The cut stage is where a stronger pad and compound are used to level the clear coat and remove 80-95% of the imperfections. The refining stage uses a foam pad and polish to remove the light haze and restore the shine. This process is recommended if your car is black or has a lot of scratches and imperfections.
Three Step Process
A three step process introduces water to the equation (wet sanding). Water is sprayed onto your car and the sanding pad to cut deeper into the clear coat to remove as many imperfections as possible. Wet sanding allows the detailer to focus more on the area without burning the paint from the sanding process. It is then followed up by the two step process mentioned above.
